I would try Knoppix to see if it pick up your video card and it works with
your system. Knoppix is good rescue disk also. It runs from the CD.
Depending on what xfree version your using you could probally copy the xfree
from /etc/X11/XF86Config when running knoppix to your hard drive. Just put
it in the same directory and you should be set. If your running xfree 3.x
then It might or might not work. If your computer can boot from the CD then
you can use Knoppix. You might even like Knoppix. It runs from the CD so
it's a little slow. There is a way to install it on your hard drive if you
liked it. You can download Knoppix at http://www.linuxiso.org/
