The wilugs is a site to help other linux know what's happening around the
state. They are working on the webpage because it's been about 4-6 months
ago they started working on it. They are working the bugs out on the
calendar and then the lugs can start posting things. I haven't checked on
the page it a while.
I was just looking at the Post Crescent Life & Style section they have a
meetings (friday 2-27-2004) page b-2. It says information about the
meeting must be submitted in writting to
Meeting Notes, Life & Style, The Post-Crescent
P.O. Box 59
Appleton, WI 54912-0059
or e-mail
pcfeatures at postcrescent.com
deadline noon Tuesday
How about the next meeting be put in there. We might get some people who
read the paper and never knew there was a Linux User Group around. If we put
the format they want we could just forward them a copy from the list to them.
Don I can e-mail the people I'm in contact with to e-mail you. There are a
couple list I'm on now. I think there are a bunch of us who would like to
coordinate the times and place other lugs meet so we can attend each other
lug. I'm going have to look up their e-mails.
The euglug (Eugene,Or) mailing list has someone from the Portland Lug posting
their meetings and the Corvalis (if I remember right mid valley Lug) posting
their meetings. I'm still on the euglug mailing list. I keep in contact
with the group even thought I'm 2500 miles away from my friends. I think
this could happen to our groups if someone could forward the mail to the
other meeting mailing list. Someome would have to be on their lsits. If the
topic is good enought the Eugene people drive up to Portland. Funny Portland
is close (<150 miles) from Redmond,Washington and it has a very active LUG
and it also has the LAB where Linus works out of remotely. I'd say it's a
grass roots movement int Redmond neighboring yard.
I'll have to e-mail the guys trying to coordinating. I just went on wilugs
page and they have a calender we should be able to get on. I would just have
to forward them the date and time and the links to our page.
Looked like LaCross on the 19th had a wireless networking talk. That would
have been great to attend. Oh well that means I should check it more often
and maybe contact them to e-mail me so I can post it on newlug mailing list.
