No problem. I still have Kubuntu 5.10 "Breezy Badger" installed on this
particular desktop, so I'll check the process on my 6.10 install some other
time. Here's how I change desktop icon sizes in Kubuntu 5.10--
Click "System Settings" in the K Menu.
Under the "Personal" tab, click "Appearance"
Click "Icons" in the left panel.
Change from the "Theme" tab to the "Advanced" Tab.
You should be able to specify the size of the icons you use in everyday
tasks, like the desktop icons. I believe the default is 48 (point?), but
you can shrink it down to 16 if you want.
If you also want to make the font size of the icon description, just go
back to "Fonts" instead of "Icons" in the "Appearance" window. You can
change the font, and the respective size of that font, as well.
Hopefully this is helpful.
