Hey guys...
Server setup is too broad. I'd like to see more specific presentations that
can appeal to both the advanced and the intermediate users in NEW Linux. If
we can bring in the advanced users - the intermediate users will be able to
learn from them. We need advanced users who would like to share their
experiences.
Specific topics might include a specific skill-set or a specific software
tool used within the Linux community. Here are some good starter topics:
Perhaps:
* Security -> How to strap down your systems properly.
* High-Availability -> How to build Redundancy & Load Balancing properly.
* Clustering -> Building CPU workhorses.
* Spam Wars -> What tools to use & in what configuration.
* Sandboxing -> How to test enterprise server changes & minimize your
risk.
* Logging -> How to log properly & catch problems early.
* Data Backup -> How to build a Backup systems for large amounts of data.
Our next meeting is Monday, July 9th @ 6:30pm.
Who would be up for doing a demo on one of these (or a similar) topic?
Please let us know... Thanks!
Ryan
