[Newlug] Virtual Box networking

I have DSL (Damn Small Linux), FreeDos and now Debian running in
Virtual Box. I thought I'd set up a Debian Virtual Machine with
Apache and Wordpress. I have apache and wordpress on a server but
when I start it up it sounds like a Jet engine. It's loud so I
thought I'd write my personal blog on a virtual machine since it's
virtually quiet compared to the server. I did a ifconfig in virtual
Debian and found it had an IP address 10.0.x.x which is no where near
the range of network range 192.168.x.x. I tried to ping the Debian ip
but nothing happens. I found out why it's using NAT which is good but
I need and to have an ip address to connect to like the real server.
I can do a host interface network which sounds like exists alongside
eth0 it sounds like I have to do a bridge. Has anyone done one of
these in Virtualbox and used one as a server? I've read the manual
and it sounds like a little work which to get a normal IP address.

I do have to say I really think Virtual box is very nice and easy to
use. If anyone hasn't tried it I hope you try it.

Tim
