[Newlug] Linux Interest

I was thinking today on a long drive I had to Fon du Lac that what I  
would like to understand better is what exactly the linux kernal is  
and how it works.  We don't need to goto the c code but a diagram with  
circles and arrows would be sufficient.

An other interest I have is how the kernal interacts with the cpu,  
devices, drivers, X. etc.

I think a series of meetings to go into these topics in depth by  
anyone who understands them would be great fun and help all of us to  
understand the power and modularity of linux.  Explaning how it  
differs from Unix or AIX would also interest me.
