[Newlug] Video status update

Hello everyone!

Here's an update on the April 2010 meeting footage.  I have some of the
video posted on blip.tv, but the file size limit is 1GB, so I've been having
some issues with the second portion of the video.

Part 2 (53 minute excerpt containing the ZFS talk):

The third excerpt did not encode properly, so I had to remove it from the
site.

Part 2 (the entire second portion, encoded into an AVI file- 118 minutes).

The conversion of this file to flv via blip.tv did not work properly.
 Apparently, if it takes too much time for blip.tv to convert the file, it
aborts the conversion process and leaves you without an flv file.  The
source file can be found at:

I also created an account at the Internet Archive <http://www.archive.org/>,
but my attempts to upload the files have failed.  Theoretically, we can post
files that are up to 10 GB in size here.  I'm willing to give up the source
files, as well as my converted versions, if anyone wants to post these
videos online.  I'm also willing to share the login info for the NEWLUG
youtube account, NEWLUG blip.tv account, and NEWLUG Internet Archive account
if anyone wants to commit to posting NEWLUG videos online, when we create
them.

Any feedback?


Also, Ubuntu 10.04 is coming out this week.  Anybody interested in having a
release party?  Message me so I can understand if it's still an event that
people want to do.
