I did a test using avidemux.

Just tried 
MPlayer denoise3d MPlayer Denoise 3D (4.0 - 3.0 - 6.0)'
SharpenSharpen(fast)
saving as mp4 x264
There are lots of options I just did one try.
Working on part one of the Solaris presentation.
The file size went from 435.9mb to 61.7mb
Even looks better.
Can shrink it more by resampling the audio.
Currently it's mp2 48k stereo samples per second.

Doing 56k mp3 mono audio down to 47.3mb


Anyone know what the best format and codex for audio and video is for this 
application.
