I don't have webtv but I do hookup my apple notebook to my hdmi port on my HD 
TV.  All I had to do was purchase a dongle which hooked into my apple.  I'm 
only using it for Netflix, Hulu, ITunes etc. But,every thing available on my 
apple will work seamlessly on my large screen TV.

Perhaps a simular HDMI is available for the WebTv to a Apple IBook.  I happy 
to read that the Iphone and Ibook will work with Verizon.
