[Newlug] January 18th website down?

I know I'm not actually a member (although I did attend a couple of meetings 
several years ago), but I do have some thoughts on the issue.  The main 
point being only take it down if you replace it with a page that states why 
you took it down.  I see so many people boycotting some product or another 
without letting the powers that be know just why they are doing so.  To me 
that defeats the purpose.  Sure, some of you will say that taking it 
completely down on that specific day is enough, I really hope that you 
reconsider and make a visible statement on the groups position on the matter 
instead.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Should we talke down the NEWLUG website January 18th to support others
who are doing the same against the ANTI SOPA & PIPA?  I think we
should.  To support the ANTI SOPA PIPA law.  Just to show our elected
leaders just how important the Internet is to us  Anyone could take
down the a website after this anyways.  A picture, could bring down
our site.  Something a blogger said against a product.

This is a matter of freedom.  A free internet.  What do you think?
